"Vision without execution is hallucination.”
— Thomas Edison
One of the hardest things I believe to accomplish, yet rewarding is fulfilling a vision. Whether it is personal or a group goal, it must take action to see it come to pass. It is the word "action" that becomes the obsticle. Yet with perserverance it can be accomplished!
"Celebrate what you’ve accomplished, but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed."
— Mia Hamm
Ladies, as your team grows, they will need a vision! Guess what? That comes from you! The way you treat your business, to how you pour your life into them will help them see your vision in action! That is huge!
"Where there is no vision, people perish."
-Solomon (Prov. 29:18)
Your team is looking for a leader! That leader will not always be me! If you decide to become a Director, YOU will lead them! This course is not about more training, as it is for you to catch a vision for your future and business. Please remember that the Pink Riot course you took before this was to help you see yourself run a business. Not Treating this as a hobby, but a business that can be rewarding financially, while at the same time impacting peoples lives! It was about catching the vision that Mary Kay Ash left for all of us. Catching a vision of the opportunities that are before us. PINK RIOT 212 is about turning up the heat. Facing our fears and allowing God to chip away unnecessary habits, that hinder us from fulfilling our dreams and goals! Ladies, this is about getting ready to take the next step, if you so desire. In order to be a successful Director....its having a vision! Success is not the suit. It is not the car. It is not the paycheck. When the suit goes on, after awhile, it becomes old. After the first car is picked up, you still need to maintain the upkeep of the car. When you begin to have a steady paycheck, there will be down months. Yes, these perks are nice. Yet it is my vision of succees that keeps me going. I still have to work to maintain my leadership role as a Director. I still have to work to maintain the privilage of driving a company car. There is a vision within me to train, equip, and send out powerful ladies who have the same passion to change lives! A legacy that will be passed on to others. God first, family second and career third. A legacy that builds children to see that all things are possible! A legacy that changes the future of those who may step in the path I leave behind. I want you to be a part of it! What vision do you have for yourself?
Your assingment this week is to read Chapter 8 and blog your answer to the following question:
I usually do not do this, but since we are woman of faith I will include the following question, if you feel uncomfortable answering "your relationship with God", its all right. What vision do you want for your relationship with God? Family? Team?

Have a great week ladies! Angie
Through reading this book I am looking at my goal of being a sales director differently. I have repeatedly read success lies in helping, supporting, motivating and leading others to achieve their goals. The goal is achieved through the momentum of the team through the vision that I have US not just me. It is a bigger picture than I first thought and it keeps in line with the purpose that God has for me and us. I really want to capture the vision, but honestly, I feel like I'm focusing on something else and don't see it. How do I see it and capture it?
ReplyDeleteI know I'm late on this one but wanted to make sure I got it done. Through this chapter the most eye opening thing I caught was that I am a visionary person, not a person with a vision. A person with a vision is one who acts upon her vision and doesn't just envision it and wait for it to happen. Boy that hit me like a ton of bricks. It's time to change that around.
ReplyDeleteThere have been so many great reminders for me in this book! I love what this chapter said about conquering ourselves. I have been committed to this principle for many years and each life experience I have gives me the opportunity to "grow" some more. I told my oldest son that we should always be open to growing, especially in self-control, this makes us wise. I keep a daily journal and I love it because I can evaluate myself and I love the list on 164-165 that gives a plan for self-discipline. Page 176 talked about success and I believe what it says about it depending on how we do things we like and dont like!
